Annabel is here with me right now, and we’re basically just being lazy bums and hanging out when we feel like it.  That and she’s doing some extensive forum work while I’m reading two (rather popular) programming books back and forth: Effective C++, Third Edition by Meyers, and The Pragmatic Programmer by Hunt and Thomas.  Additionally, the second book is a pretty smooth read, so it’s easy to go through one chapter and retain it well.

I got my ears pierced for the first time, at age 21.  Hooray.

Met some new people at a few tea places.  There’s a pretty decent tea room called Queen Mary, in Seattle.  Probably will take Audrey there if she ever comes back up here. （　・∀・）

What else.  Oh, right.  I got a Samsung Epic that I’m about to pick up in like..an hour and a half.  That’s pretty exciting.  Meeting two teams tomorrow with a professor, doing volunteer work at school, getting paperwork done to be the school receptionist for a few hours during the week.  Talked to a few international students today; a lot of them were Korean.  There were girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah, that’s kind of amazing.  (so I might be able to hang out with them without guys swamping them??  maybe.)

I got a new roommate.  She’s quiet, picks up cues, receptive and respectful.  I like that.  Also, she’s a bonafide gamer. (thank you God)–also, she has a HL edition 360 (and it kind of looks amazing.)  rage I want the Halo Reach one even more now.

That’s it.  I’m excited for FF14.  Okay, now that’s it.

I’m pretty sure that when I suggest doing something that I specifically want to do, it feels like people just click and don’t want to do things with me anymore.

Kind of annoying.  I’ve realized I don’t have patience for that kind of thing anymore.

What’s so hard about doing something you don’t want to do with someone?  Just because it’s something you’re not used to, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it with a friend.

And I’m not talking about weird stuff, either?

Sometimes it even comes down to dumb stuff, like me having to micromanage your interests (some are more ridiculous than others.)  Because once I hear “hmm..” or “ehh..” to my answer, I have to do 20 questions in order for you to be okay.

I’m actually really not okay with that anymore.

LA is going to be a much quieter place to me when I come back.

I guess I feel pretty ridiculous right now.  Kind of frustrated, kind of beating myself up, kind of wondering and getting too curious.

Asking myself what tomorrow really is, what people really meant today.  Everything meshes into a single blob of terror.

Maybe it meant that people really care.  I would like to hope for that.

And at the same time, it makes things a little complicated..

I wish I knew what was going on.
